Everyone's kinda grouchy today, eh? And I'm not saying that y'all have to be cheerful, just that my flist and twitterfeed all seem pretty hostile this morning. Is a good response to that to be cheerful or is that more angry-making?

Ali says I made her create this meme, but that's not true. It was merely a suggestion. However, since it was my suggestion, I am honor-bound to fill it out myself! I only picked ships that I have more than one icon for, or otherwise it's not really a favorite, is it?

Hmm, I feel like I've sort of said the same thing about all these ships: they're adorable, they make sense, they spark, etc. And a lot of the ships that I have more than one icon of, or even have an icon of, often it's because I've written them and want icons to put with the fic. There's tons of things I actually ship but don't have icons for because I'm not sure when I'd use them. So this is a topsy-turvy list!

You guys? I have never been able to fill up the icons but I am just one icon away—or really, I AM full once I upload one of these beauties.

I posted this week about having this nice icon of Simon whispering in Ryan's ear and wanting the opposite. So the excellent consumedbywords sent me screencaps of Ryan whispering in Simon's ear the other week, and I have made three icons of it because I can't quite decide which crop I like best. Like all decisions I cannot make, I'm doing a poll! Also, anything you'd like to say in the comments would be helpful.

1. That off-center look that all the kids are doing. I kind of like the random light you can see in the opposite corner, too. Con: it looks a little like a manip, though it totally isn't!




2. Super close up! I like this because for me this pic is really about how their hair is almost touching. Con: The same manip problem, and the image might be a little blurry—maybe the crop should be a little looser?




3. Traditional look. Probably what I would have done without thinking. Ryan looks less like he might have been thunked in from some other picture, and you get more of Simon's chest which, you know, isn't all bad.

Yay icons!

So I made these icons and I'm pleased because I figured out how to make little squares on them for text because OMG I'm a total photoshop newbie. The icon on this post was made by dollsome and is pretty sweet; she's also my source for most of these photos and caps.

The first one is another cap from last week's results show, the second one from an appearance on the Tonight Show last spring, the third from a red carpet, and the last two are from the Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony. I may change the text box on that last icon (the quote is from a Police song) to a bubbly thing or something, but the picture looked a little bare (as you can see, I generally don't put words on my icons) and I also wanted to cover Simon's omnipresent nipples because enough already. I love that red carpet photo because they look like a red carpet couple, don't they? I'm pleased that now I have like, a billion Rymon icons.
