Looking back, looking forward

I saw that copperbadge was doing that old unpopular opinions meme, so I had to dig up my stab at it from last November. I have to say, I pretty much am still in on all of it. I'm also happy to say that re #8, I've come a long way, baby.

Today has been an overcast day with a lot of indirect sunlight, and Jonathan Schwartz was playing a lot of late 50s-early 60s jazz on his show today and I just had this prickly feeling about winter coming and summer being over and a vision of my future that I hope is coming.

I remember reading yours the first time round (number four really stuck in my mind!); I agreed with it then, and I agree with it now. I always feel, though, that none of these so-called 'unpopular' opinions are really all that unpopular - they're just the least often vocalised.

It's true. Sometimes I think that we have a sort of group think that keeps people from saying certain things, even though so many people agree with them. I think that also happens as the fandom fragments and you end up in one sector or another where certain things just "aren't said". I try to say what I think, often as I can anyway.
