fermatojam posts something truly hateful, and what do we do? Flame! Nay! We have a party!
The comments were so funny, and so fast! The first time I looked, 25 comments. The second time I looked, about an hour later, 200!queerasjohn was playing picnic--which, btw, is obviously easier written than oral--and dude, I want to see how far that game got, because I wanted to bring the latex. I agree with misscora that I was sad to see our little ship unmentioned, but hey, I'm used to it. After months of pointing out that I'm not exactly a slasher as my fic is also het, hey, I find I'm not a slasher. Speaking of our little ship, special hugs to epicyclical for inadvertently giving our actual SCUSA thread a bit of a kick. Yay, we made DV!
Also special hugs to them that need them. The only thing I'll say about the weirdness going on at the moment is the one piece of all-purpose advice that my father (who, trust me, isn't good for much) gave me: If you don't like someone, leave them alone. Hate is SUCH a waste of time and energy. There are people I don't care for, and guess what? I stay the fuck out of their LJ. It's a good policy, I've found.
The wifeswapping fic is done and sent to betas but is still as yet untitled. Still working on the Draco/Ginny but that shouldn't take much longer. Both Pretty from Behind (aka the "assfic") and Re-Union have been sent to Restricted Section but as they haven't done an upload in a while you won't find them there. I have just sent them to Diagon Alley, where you can also find EWFS. They are also, of course, at Pierian Springs so you can read them there if you're a member. (And if you aren't, you should be!) Re-Union is, of course, at the Seamus-Dean Archive, where you can find plenty of other Seamus-Dean goodness, thanks to my belovedmisscora, and I'll submit Pretty from Behind to Pumpkin Pie as soon as it is posted someplace.
Plotting on the EWFS sequel continues apace. I think doing actual work on the fic has released the floodgates. The muse is definitely back. When I was originally thinking about the fic I had a firm grasp on what was going on for most of the EWFS crew but Draco was a mystery. A week ago, though, it all came to me. So I'm feeling a lot more confident about the new fic, which makes things come faster and more naturally. This thing might actually get written!thalialuna, get ready. But the most momentous thing is, I called some headhunters this week and am actively looking for a new job. My current one is taking far too much mental and emotional energy, leaving me little for either fandom or my actual personal life. Hence the very long gestation period for wifeswapping and my falling down on other commitments, for which I sincerely apologize though I don't have much of an excuse. I have been so tired for so long, and after taking a couple of days off, I walked into work on Monday and thought, "I need a day off." Which of course really meant "I need a new fucking JOB." Wish me luck!
