So Undercovers was canceled, and I'm disappointed, but more in the show than in NBC. Undercovers had no recognizable actors, had to lead off the night opposite Survivor, Next Top Model, Hell's Kitchen, and ABC's growing comedies. Also, it just wasn't that good of a show, which is the suckiest thing about it. Hopefully this won't mean "oh, no more black leads!" I don't think that had a lot to do with it—except, of course, for the fact that with fewer roles for blacks on American TV there are fewer recognizable black actors in the first place.

(Also I'm just going to watch Boardwalk Empire in a marathon, maybe over Thanksgiving weekend.)

Anyway, this week in TV, super early this time!

HIMYM: I am finding the entire protesting Ted storyline to be disappointingly uninteresting. I'm all for someone telling douchey Ted where to get off, and no one should try to be buddies with their students, but still, ugh.

Castle: Poor actor guy! Really great twisty plot and omg, Martha and Alexis! So adorable! Also Esposito being angry about the stripper booker not wanting him. I'm sure there are many ladies who would be happy to see you strip, Javi.

Hawaii 5-0: Okay, enough with the Pearl Harbor shout outs, show. It's getting a little weird. As is the whole "while McGarrett is talking to Danno, bystander thinks he's talking to his wife" thing. I did like when Kono said, "Oh, I have to go with the kid because I'm a woman?" and they all said, "no, because you're the rookie." I also liked Danno explaining to McGarrett why he shouldn't tell the perp that his daughter had been kidnapped. But I saw whodunnit from about five miles out.

Dancing with the Stars: Look, Bristol has people voting for her, whatever, I doubt she'll make it to the finals. Kurt will probably pick up most of Rick's votes, or maybe Brandy. Nice to see Jennifer come back (though it was overstated by the judges) and Brandy stay strong. I don't really care if it's Kurt or Kyle who joins the ladies, as long as the two of them are there and it isn't Bristol. Also, a theme week that totally worked, with the Kristi vs. Apollo cha chas and the recreate a famous dance with the dancer being a judge. Fun to see Gilles again—can't wait to see his Castle ep!

Glee was a rerun this week. Not sure why as it's sweeps, but maybe they thought no one would watch Glee on election night?

Top Chef Just Desserts: Man, now there's no one I'm really rooting for. I hope they do JD again, because I think the show itself is fun and interesting and had mostly good challenges, and is different enough from TC and yet has a lot of similarities. But the way the cast has gone out I only vaguely care about the actual results, especially now that Eric is gone. Blah blah Morgan/Yigit/Zac finale, unless one of them chokes or Danielle suddenly becomes a rock star, and even then she won't win.

Community: You know another thing that makes this show amazing? The music cues. That entire trampoline/secret garden thing was totally driven by the soundtrack, though it was also fun to see Troy and Jeff grinning like idiots. I loved the strange message we were supposed to get at the end, and Leonard "enhancing" the spy photos, and Jeff again being left to look over PIerce. The mean girls/robocop thing was cute in that I always like seeing bitchy!Shirley, but Chang overplayed (perhaps to get into the group?). They did use Hilary Duff well, but then they always use their guests in interesting ways. (Was that Andy Dick in the helicopter?)
