jlh | WIP update

Even though it's been a month, it feels like not much has progressed. This is probably because the bigbangs needed edits and because I of course couldn't sustain the crazy pace of writing I had in August.

My posting date for

rpf_big_bang is 18 October.

My posting date for

startrekbigbang is 24 October.

I've heard from both artists; I have the rough draft fanmix for the STBB (and seriously, cannot wait until you guys hear it!) and I'm working on my own fanmix for my RPFBB. The STBB Kirk/McCoy story is done and just needs the final polish I'll give just before I post. The RPFBB Ryan/Simon story is still being revised per

ignaz's comments. So I feel like I'm in pretty good shape!

The next big thing is Yuletide, which takes up most of my writing energy in late November/December, as I have to re-immerse myself in a canon and come up with a story idea in a month's time. And I've never had my prompter do a "Dear Yuletide Writer" letter, so I've never had much to go on. BUT, it's pretty close to my favorite thing in fandom, period, and even though it means that I don't do other holiday fic exchanges and challenges, I adore it and encourage all of you to do it as well! (I'm so nominating both Community and Undercovers, and then requesting them!)

Here are my internal due dates for the other things I'm writing:

Idolfic: Completed by January 2011, when new Simon-free season starts. To be written:

AI9 '70s Laurel Canyon AU, Crystal/Lily
Rymon season 3
Rymon season 4 rewrite/expand/retitle "Who's Afraid of Janis Ian"

Potterfic: Completed by June 2011, when the last movie comes out. To be written:

Three chapters + epilogue of EWFS sequel
Draco/Ginny schooltime fic, perhaps a kiss or schmoop bingo
Five short Parvati/Pansy fics, some for bingo spaces or tenwomen
Remainder of my Seamus/Dean fanfic100 claim, where the bingos will also help

Ten Women: I have a year, which would start this fall whenever I post the Crystal/Lily fic. To be written:

Glee Mercedes/Quinn, post-college
ST Chapel/Rand Radcliffe AU
White Collar, Diana, maybe with Elizabeth
Community, Shirley/Jeff because I'm Team Shirley
Community, Britta and Annie something or other
HIMYM, something or other
