When I first came into Potter fandom, I ended up in a group of writers that all beta'd or even read early drafts of each other's stuff and we referred to ourselves as each other's muses. I liked being the muse of history, Clio, and the nickname stuck. Another of that group, my pal
evil_erato, made this icon for me from a larger painting that had all the Muses in it.

I made this icon of the winner of the first season of Top Chef, Harold Dieterle. Top Chef 1 is probably my favorite season of reality TV ever, and I use my icon of Harold for my posts on Top Chef—his is the standard that I compare every subsequent season of chefs to, and only Richard and Stephanie in season 4 have come close to his combination of talent, skill, professionalism, maturity, heart, and leadership.

What I love about this Rymon icon by
blackbird_fly is their genuine smiles. Ryan's real smile is pretty goofy, as you can see, which is why his fake smile looks so bland. I adore how happy they often are to just be in each other's presence, which is half the reason I ship them! They're always so ready to laugh when they're together.

lame_or_casual is a saying from How I Met Your Mother, something Ted's mother told him. I think it's generally true in terms of decision making—rarely do decisions made after 2am lead anyplace good, even if actual events after 2am can be pretty great. But then, I'm a confirmed morning person!

This icon I made myself and I use it in discussions about any kind of privilege, and I'm as likely to be talking about my own privilege as anyone elses. Lately that's mostly been race, but it's supposed to be more neutral than that.

Anne and Gilbert were one of my first ships, and Gil one of my first literary crushes.
dollsome made this icon from the recent Anne movie, when they are older, and I always loved those later books. Anne's House O'Dreams is probably my favorite Anne book, because I love how it portrays their relationship. I know this is a very unpopular opinion among Anne fans, but I like them a little older, and find myself reading those books more often—I almost never reread Anne of Green Gables.
ali_wildgoose gave me five and also code for shibby tables that reveal how boring my icon keywords are.

Keywords: David and Keith Comment: I actually made this icon from pics on hbo.com. I love love love love David and Keith; they're definitely in the pantheon of favorite couples in any medium, ever. I love how they came together, and then were apart but not for long, and then they came together and stuck it out through a lot of crazy shit. And really, nothing beats that moment in the finale when David is at that picnic and the very last thing he sees is David, young and active and smiling at him. Alan Ball clearly shipped them so hard.

Keywords: Alexander Hamilton Comment: I's loves me some Alexander Hamilton, sho' nuff. I mean, he was kind of a jerk, but he was a charming one, and too smart for his own good. He called out a bad man, and that bad man killed him. But he was right about so many things—and Jefferson was fucking WRONG man! Also he was hot. I made this icon and it was the first one I ever put text on. I use it often for posts about politics.

Keywords: Elizabeth Bennett Comment: So, like, Maya was irritated at the P&P movie with KK, and made a call for this icon, and many replied, and this was the one I liked best. I can't stand KK on a good day, for a multitude of reasons, not least that for me she's the symbol of the whiteness of Hollywood, or at least, what they want from a leading lady. (Hi, Parminder is doing late seasons of ER, what?) And the miniseries is awesome. I know a lot of the kids like the movie, and I don't entirely begrudge them, but I'm not going there.
Ryan is a dork, but then, all knew that

As for KK -- see tangentially-related icon, whatever with that bitch.
