So the group sing wasn't as cracktastic as I'd like, and with such a boy-heavy season having them all sing in unison lessens the effect I'm looking for, which is basically Brady Bunch Variety Show. I skipped the Carrie-Randy Travis bit because I didn't think the song was very good. Also, and I never say this, but Brad Paisley looked better sans the lame goatee.

I of course approve of Ryan trying to soak Simon with a water balloon, but he should know that he can't throw well enough to pull that off. I did love Simon muttering "answer the question" over and over while Paula was trying to evade saying who she thought was in the bottom two—though it was a trick question, because they both were. However, Simon refusing to change his mind about Adam was pretty awesome.

Also, note that you can dislike an individual gay artist without being homophobic. Just sayin'.

I find it interesting, though not surprising, that they considered saving Alexis but clearly would not have saved Sarver. That Allison was in the bottom three probably has more to do with her being in the front of the show, and Megan being sick, than anything else. Sad to listen to Alexis not be able to hold on to her nerves while she sang for her life, but singing awesome under pressure is the name of the game, really.

Three girls left, and Lil and Megan were a bit shaky this week. Will it be just Allison and boys before long?

Simon's "answer the question" was hilarious, I want him to do that to Paula every week. I was surprised Ryan didn't say something to him about it.

Ryan's lucky he didn't soak a producer or vital camera equipment when he threw that water balloon. I feel he wasn't very sportsy in his day.

I wonder if they considered saving Alexis only because there are only 4 girls on the show and the tour would be a sausagefest without them. I never had much faith in Megan so it'll be interesting to see how far she goes; next week is Motown though so Lil is a lock.

The amount of teen girls squealing and clamoring for the guys on tour this season is going to be epic. I already feel bad for their handlers.

Yeah, the boys are catnip: Adam, Kris, Matt, Anoop. Even Sarver has his appeal I'm sure.
