Date: 2009-01-29 06:34 am (UTC)I wish Jeff had been better at adapting to the competition because he's clearly a good chef with a strong point of view.
That was sort of a B-team of "all stars" tonight. I also enjoyed that quick crowd shot with a flaring summer skirt for the Super Bowl-themed challenge.

Date: 2009-01-29 05:08 pm (UTC)Right? We were saying that these chefs wouldn't have stood a chance against a real all star team like Hung, Tre, Casey, Dale (either one), Richard, Stephanie, and Antonia. Maybe even Marcel.

Date: 2009-01-29 06:40 pm (UTC)I also love how everyone is dumping Hosea and Leah, like the only question is Carla v Fabio. The last three seasons they've brought four chefs to the new location and then kicked one or two out before the finale, so I'm thinking four chefs were in NOLA last week. #4 is often an interesting chef, too: LeeAnne, Spike, Sam, Antonia.
I am really uninterested in all the holiday tie-ins they've done this season. I'd rather see them cooking seasonal food even if it isn't this season. It's a weird disconnect. When they were in Chicago they were cooking autumnal food even if we were watching it over the summer, and it was fine. God, in two weeks they're going to do some kind of Valentine's Day bullshit, aren't they? Feh.
