20 who measure up
Aug. 12th, 2007 10:00 pmThis Is Dedicated to That One Black Kid, comic by Keith Knight
Monday: who lives in that tiny ass town off the highway, in the middle of nowhere
Tuesday: who was not into hip hop in high school
Wednesday: who gets used as the reason why someone isn't a racist
Thursday: with hair people want to touch all the time
Friday: who gets told they're not REALLY black
Saturday: who always gets asked by white folks why they can't use the 'N Word'"
So there's this meme going around:
1. List five celebrities you would have sex with without even asking questions.
2. Put all of them IN ORDER of your lust for them. (Five to one, one is the hottest.)
3. Say which movie/show/thing it was that hooked you.
4. Supply photos for said people
5. Tag five people!
And I got tagged by
lillijulianne. But see, I'd already started thinking about doing this post of 20 hot guys, sort of as my next race post, and it's a nice end to the blogging against racism week because these guys are from all over the place and they are all. really. hot.
I won't put them in order, but I will tell you what hooked me. Also, I'm giving you ages. Apparently I'm attracted to men around my age—I was born in 1969.
Naveen Andrews

Born: 1969.
Hooked by: The English Patient (1996), in which he played a character
friendsofjunius and I referred to as "the Sexy Sikh."
Antonio Banderas

Born: 1960
Hooked by: Woman on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown (1988), in which he is very young and very bespectacled.
Jason Bateman

Born: 1969
Hooked by: Probably It's Your Move (1984), a very short-lived sitcom starring Jason as a miniature schemer.
Don Cheadle

Born: 1964
Hooked by: Boogie Nights (1997) where he played a porn star cowboy who wanted to run a stereo store. He was amazing, and goofy, and seriously hot.
Chow Yun-Fat

Born: 1955
Hooked by: Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon (2000) just like everyone else, but also the posters for Anna and the King (1999), I just didn't want to see it.
Djimon Hounsou

Born: 1964
Hooked by: Janet Jackson's "Love Will Never Do Without You" video (1990). Except, like, he can act and stuff so we get to keep seeing him.
Grant Imahara

Born: 1970
Hooked by: Mythbusters, though he DID win Battlebots and robots are sexy.
John Leguizamo

Born: 1964
Hooked by: Spic-O-Rama (1993), though in To Wong Foo (1995) he showed he can also make a hot drag queen.
Robert Sean Leonard

Born: 1969
Hooked by: Dead Poets Society (1989). Excellent stage actor. Glad he's getting some TV money in the kitty so he can keep doing plays.
Jesse L. Martin

Born: 1969
Hooked by: Rent (1996), and referred to him as "Tom Collins" for years after: "Tom Collins is on Law and Order!" Met him at a Hillary for Senate fund raiser and yeah, he is very hot in person.
Ewan McGregor

Born: 1971
Hooked by: Honestly, Emma (1996), because I didn't see Trainspotting until much later for no real reason.
Timothy Olyphant

Born: 1968
Hooked by: Go (1999), in which he played "the hot drug dealer." Confirmed by Broken Hearts Club, and then brought to the universe by Deadwood.
Matthew Perry

Born: 1969
Hooked by: Friends (1994), duh. I'm still looking for my Chandler, I think.
Carlos Ponce

Born: 1971
Hooked by: Honestly, posters in my neighborhood at the latin music distributors. I know, he's in a novela now (Dame Chocolate, the one that was featured in Top Chef a few weeks ago, though I didn't notice Carlos) but he's still arrestingly hot.
Paul Rudd

Born: 1969
Hooked by: Clueless (1995) because how adorable is he in that? So adorable! And yet, beneath that adorable shell, oh my god so hot.
Peter Sarsgaard

Born: 1971
Hooked by: As an actor, Boys Don't Cry (1999) but as a hottie, Shattered Glass (2003) and he's even long-haired and clean shaven in that. Also he spent all of Kinsey naked and I'm pro that.
Duncan Sheik

Born: 1969
Hooked by: The Barely Breathing video (1996). And now he has a beard! And a Tony!
Jon Stewart

Born: 1962
Hooked by: You Wrote It, You Watch It (1992). Yep, I was a Jon fan from waaay back, before the aborted movie career, when he was doing weirdo crappy shows for MTV.
Butch Vig

Born: 1957
Hooked by: Queer, the first Garbage video in 1996. He's a drummer, he's a superstar producer, he's really hot, he lives in Wisconsin. What more is there to say?
Luke Wilson

Born: 1971
Hooked by: Some combination of Legally Blonde (2001), Charlie's Angels (2000), and The Royal Tenenbaums (2001).
