jlhI'm up in Maine at my mother's house with Ali. Pretty chilly! We're going out tonight with an old friend of mine to an 80s night at a local club.
Since I'm on the dialup (Mom is too far in the country to get either DSL or a cable modem; believe me, we've tried) I'll have to wait until I get back into the city to comment on all the lovely entries that I saw on Wednesday. Yesterday was my last day at my freelance job, so it was a bit hectic.
On that tip, if anyone can show me where I go to turn off the icons or something in LJ? I feel like there's some setting or other. Thanks!
My actual birthday couldn't have been better if I'd ordered it special, except of course that not all my dear friends were around me. But there were certainly enough of them to make it a party. Before long we had grabbed five tables in the park and were eating burgers and drinking shakes and just having a nice relaxing time. It was a completely perfect evening, too, just warm enough that after sunset it was still pleasant to sit outside.
More when the connection is better! Have a lovely last weekend in August, everyone!
