Pointless musings about Seamus and Dean
Jun. 27th, 2006 09:38 amI have an S/D story off to the betas (world cup and wanking, how timely!) and it brought up all these thoughts and hey, I haven't really posted about HP writing in a little while so, warning, shippy thoughts ahead.
I was looking for a final line for the story and suddenly thought of Moby Dick, which reminded me of my very short mental list of Potential Halloween Costumes for Seamus and Dean. So far I have:
Also, I realized I'd never made an icon from the GoF extras dancing moment so I was looking at it again today (can you look at it too much? I think not!) and I think Seamus is leading. You can see it at the end in the way he's sort of turning before Dean does and pulling him slightly. ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
I was looking for a final line for the story and suddenly thought of Moby Dick, which reminded me of my very short mental list of Potential Halloween Costumes for Seamus and Dean. So far I have:
- Ishmael and Queequeg from Moby Dick. Like husband and wife. Requires harpoon.
- Angel and Collins from Rent. I'll cover you. Requires drag.
- Crockett and Tubbs from Miami Vice. You belong to the city. Requires stubble.
- Mel and Danny's characters from Lethal Weapon. It's probably me. Requires general insanity.
- Huck and Jim from Huck Finn. Weird dynamic. Requires raft.

Date: 2006-06-28 10:45 am (UTC)I know, I never thought of Ishmael/Queequeg until this morning! But I had forgotten just how adorable the beginning of that book is. They even meet cute! It's like the book starts out as a romantic comedy and then they get on the boat and it all goes to hell.
Well, hell, now I want to write Ishmael/Queequeg missing scenes. I mean, Moby Dick fanfic? How nerdy is that?
Anyway, in college (this would be in the very late 80s) I saw a student production of one of those twins separated Shakespeare comedies (I think All's Well that Ends Well) where the twins were played by a black actor and a white actor dressed up like Miami Vice.
