VM was excellent. The recap was waaaay too long. And I miss Weevil. :(

Well, I'm shocked. Shocked! And not even in a sarcastic way! I really thought that Kevin would be around much longer to annoy all of us. I'm glad, though, because it was such a total fucking joke and kind of a mean one. In the TWOP instant recap they said that maybe Simon's weird "you appealed to your audience" comment was like a reverse psychology and I suppose it worked. The bottom three was perfect though I was surprised that Lisa did better than Bucky if only because Bucky seems more likable.

I'm warming to Top Chef though it's definitely a TIVO special for me—that is, I sort of zoom through it. God, that Stephen is SUCH A PRICK. I mean, the man is out of control. Meanwhile I love Harold (he of the icon) so much that I can't even deal and I have to say I'm annoyed at Tom's reaction to his self-elimination; I feel like Tom is a little too cynical. Clearly Harold has been adopted by the producers as one of the narrative voices, not unlike Uncle Nick in PR. Note that this doesn't mean that he won't win; in the first season of PR Jay was often used as the narrative voice and he, of course, won. I thought it was very classy of Cynthia to leave the show to be with her dad, and equally classy of the producers to give Andrea another chance and to dedicate the episode to the memory of Cynthia's father.

I worry that they are setting up some big rivalry between Tiffani and LeeAnne, as if there isn't room for two of a similar type of person if you know what I mean . . .

And now I really should do what Harold is doing in that icon. Not sure why I've been kinda wakey late nights lately.

Stephen is just un-fucking-believable - it's difficult for me to believe that someone is actually walking around the surface of the planet that sure of himself. The one thing I will say is that he's only 24 and seems to have cruised along on a string of successes and, while that's hardly an excuse, perhaps it's a bit of an explanation. I remain steadfast in the hope that in another 10 years he'll watch tapes of this and want to drink himself into a hole at what a complete and utter tool (she called that one, didn't she?) he was before he grew up enough to live a little and have those rough edges and corners buffed away by reality.

She totally did. At least SHE knows that she's a bit immature and has things to learn. I so was wishing that Harold HAD stepped in and told him not to be an ass. Harold is young, and showed that in this ep himself, but sheesh. At least he has some class.

You absolutely can. And I don't really mind Lisa or Bucky; I just think they're boring. So it's clear sailing now, all people I at least sort of like. Fun top 10!

I just bittorrented last night's VM, and really thought it was very good. It's weird how that one that got the baby to Mexico has really like, no lasting impression on my consiousness. Everything else: awesome.

Maybe because it had such a tricky internal plot and it doesn't tie that closely to any of the ongoing plots? I can't remember if there were any actual bus crash or bridge stabbing clues in that one.

I love Keith so much this season. His whole trying to help Terrence and trying to keep his feelings in check? So awesome.
