I love that I still don't have Thursday classes, so Wednesday is the end of my week and I get rewarded with TELEVISION. Yes, yes.
Wow, Keith is on the VM train of conning poor Inga and stealing evidence. Who needs Sgt Leo when you can make your own key cards? Nice trick with the book. My mother's cousin did that with cigarettes.
Ooh, Jackie gets a burn from Wallace. Typical guy, though, not to figure out his shit with his woman in the middle of his other shit. My Wallace love grows deeper by the hour, man; I'd take Wallace over Duncan any day. (Who, by the way, is still in the credits, and I really think those doodles are meaningful but I'm not sure how.) But then by the end she has fully redeemed herself, which I have to admit, when I saw the look on Veronica's face when they walked out I knew Jackie was in on the con. And that sets us up for next week, where apparently she'll be a pariah.
Does anyone remember who Curly was? Why was Weevil kicking the shit out of him? Was he the guy who washed up on shore with VM's name on his hand?
Oh, Weevil. *cries* My poor Weevil, so loyal, so strong in your own moral code, but sold out by lesser men. Until now I always felt the Weevil/Logan was cute, a fun running joke but now I wish that I knew that Weevil could find comfort someplace, frankly. Wah. Though I'm not sure that any of y'all not here in the states could understand the depth of humiliation that the school bus represents.
I love that they took an episode with a LOT of information in it, and hid it under some random plot about Wallace and his old school. We're in a bit of a mid-season lull, but that happened last year as well, so just stay tuned. Certainly the character arcs are enough to keep us hopping!
You know, in his first podcast Tim said that some of the challenges you would feel that the person who lost, lost by nanoseconds and that was really true tonight. Kara finally pulled it together, and Nick was nearly gone (and if he had gone I would have been all woe!) and Andrae was actually gone. He really seemed to be a contender there, so I'm very sorry to see him go. As for the Tim impersonations, you MUST listen to the podcast. It's hysterical.

Date: 2006-02-02 07:04 am (UTC)I wanted to see Kara win tonight because Daniel's dress didn't look that finished at the top and her's did. I liked that she helped Chloe too. I liked Nick's dress - which, it just occurred to me, was actually very Judy Jetson. I actually liked what Santino did this week, which is a first. And poor Andrae! It was a good concept, it just needed... more. I will miss him and I hope life brings his blessed soul very good things.
I was quite shocked that Kors said there's always something vulgar about Nick's work. I think that was complete BS. As for Nina being all "wah, there aren't enough flowers!" Bitch please! The were constructing things that had to last - flowers aren't big on the longevity. The guest judges were again completely left field but I liked them.
I really loved how relaxed and matter of fact Daniel was when he was telling them that he just came out to his folks last year. (It was at this point that my mom - my PR watching partner - finally turned to me and asked "Are they all gay? The guys?" My mother, she is das quick, yah? Oy!)
I will have to listen to the podcast! During the ep I was dead with laughter. My brain was all, "OMG! Santino is creating his own PR fanfic! No wait! It's PR RPS! OMG!"
Also? As a direct result of tonight's episode, I'm being given a sewing machine. Wish me luck! ;D
(Er, should I talk about this in my own journal? The PR stuff? Instead of commenting? Besides Mom you're the only person I talk to about this but I talk LOTS so ummmm, er...)

I agree about that vulgar comment; it came out of nowhere and I don't see his whole, "everything he does" point. So untrue. I mean, I just really like Nick even though I don't always love his clothes, and I really doubt he'll win, but I think he's a strong designer who deserves to be in the final three, certainly more than Santino or Kara.

Date: 2006-02-02 11:11 am (UTC)I did not really appreciate the double entendres in Logan and Weevil's situation until this week, as I am not one to make slash jokes most of the time, as you're aware. But, I mean. Weevil is all hissing, "I don't want to sneak around like this anymore!" And Thumper is all, "Oh yeah? Well, we heard you were at the Neptune Grand with Logan Echolls!"
But yeah, so much with the Weevil sadness. The worst part, I think, apart from the bus was when Hector sort of seemed like he was going to linger and help Weevil, because I was sort of happy to know that hyenaish Hector was going to turn out to be the one PCHer Weevil could really count on, but then Thumper had to come mess it all up. I was also especially saddened at the idea of Weevil's bike being drowned.
Happy return to flashbacks this week! And not just any flashbacks, but Team Casablancas flashbacks! Delightful! Though it is really odd with Keith collecting evidence that we know about but Veronica doesn't. Keith listening to the tapes without Veronica knowing about it reminded me of Veronica listening to the Lilly investigation tapes last year. It makes me wonder if the writers would let Keith solve the majority of the bus crash, or if that just wouldn't work and it would have to be Veronica.

Date: 2006-02-02 04:37 pm (UTC)I think Lamb mostly just loses his focus when he's trying to prove Veronica wrong instead of just doing his job. He got so wrapped up in "catching" Veronica and fucking over the FBI that I think he was willing to clutch at anything that hinted at VM's involvement, which I think VM was counting on, clearly, given the whole Duncan in the trunk thing.
I really do wonder about how much Keith will do and how much VM will do. She was closer to Lilly and therefore closer to that mystery and more driven to solve it during a year when KM seemed pretty lost. Maybe now they're trying to say that KM is back on track. Which I think points to another recall and KM perhaps being back in office next year.
