Went out last night with folks from school. Much fun had. Christmas shopping so very close to done, thanks to trips with S and CC&Josh this week.

Is anyone else sort of disappointed that Dan won't be doing Equus? Not because of all the prurient stuff because whatever, but gosh, to see Kenneth Branagh direct him in a role like that? Josh, why didn't we think of that one?

I am disappointed, because 1) I really like that play a lot, and 2) I think it would have been interesting to see him do something so intense on the stage. I think it would have pushed him as an actor, something he could probably use if he's going to keep acting.

How did I miss your original post on roles for Dan? Skimbleshanks the Railway Cat? *is killed dead* That rules, except that Cats is very disturbing live (IMO).

I think Equus would've been a fine role for Dan to explore as an actor. The kid is going to have to reach far and wide to get away from the pigeonhole of Harry Potter. That said, I think he quite possibly could do that. His acting has improved with each film, and while he has a certain stiffness to his acting still, not everyone can be a Haley Joel Osment (what's he done recently? He's a brilliant little actor, comparatively, but I haven't seen his name around for a long time).
