Music, then bed
May. 2nd, 2005 01:15 amI spent today putting around at home, just enjoying being home with the cat as I haven't seen much of either for two weeks. My project was to go through the CDs and make sure they were all in my little database and that said database had the right notations for what is on the ipod. I also was revisiting my initial decisions about what should go on the ipod and what didn't need to. And I've been listening to the soundtracks I own to decide which tracks from them I wanted on the ipod as well. Next thing to conquer: the best-of collections.
I'm finally close to filling up the 20GB, which amazes me—not because it's nearly full, but how long it took to fill the damn thing up. I think mine will end up holding around 4100 songs, so there's a little over 600 left at this point. Not a lot left when you think about it.

Date: 2005-05-02 02:46 pm (UTC)I think that with the ipod I actually listen to the depth of my music collection more often. With the CDs things tended to get left in the CD player out of lazyness more than anything else, but now I can walk around and listen to all sorts of different things. I often put it on shuffle when I'm wandering around the city and that also can lead me back to a record I haven't listened to in a while.
But when I'm home, sure, I'll check the stats.
