jlhI am thankful for my cat Veda, who doesn't want me to go away, and keeps me from feeling too lonely, and notices when I come home at night. I'm also thankful for the cats I had before her: Sam and Punky here in this apartment some years back (I didn't name them, but got them from someone who needed to give them up), Sam (my high school cat who had a heart defect and sadly didn't live long) and Pyewacket (my childhood cat and first pet).
