I am thankful for my cat Veda, who doesn't want me to go away, and keeps me from feeling too lonely, and notices when I come home at night. I'm also thankful for the cats I had before her: Sam and Punky here in this apartment some years back (I didn't name them, but got them from someone who needed to give them up), Sam (my high school cat who had a heart defect and sadly didn't live long) and Pyewacket (my childhood cat and first pet).

Date: 2004-11-28 09:37 pm (UTC)I love cats. I was just thinking the other day about how much I missed all my pets from my past. I grew up with many, though now I only have one, who lives with my grandmother in Tennessee (his name is Weasley!). I miss my collies and my Siamese cat Jeanifer, who was the best cat in the whole world, ever, and who died while I was away at school. And most especially I miss my dog, P.J., the sweetest and most loving friend I will ever meet.
