GIP! Drabble!
Oct. 9th, 2004 11:28 amOkay, this isn't a GIP because, as usual, I went on and on. However, I offer my regrets to my Australian friends. I hope I am not in your place in a month. *crosses fingers*
ash_grey_sky made me this Kyo icon! Ain't it grand? I wrote her my first drabble ever here.
ali_wildgoose and
mahoni wrote me drabble here, and here, so I consider it a very successful experiment! Go read!
I've had two stressful weeks and have one more to come but it's the weekend now! So I'm not going to think about it. Last Sunday
bhanesidhe came over with four hours of Bollywood goodness which
calloocallay and I ate with a spoon. Later
epicyclical and
tromboneborges and
rubydebrazier came by and we had Afghan food which was very, very nice.
Then last night
epicyclical made me dinner and in return I sat at her kitchen table and drank. By the time
tromboneborges arrived, I was pretty drunk—drunk enough to make a rather embarrassing declaration that I will NOT reveal here.
When I get things I like to try to make them last. One cookie a day, etc. For the last two weeks I've been parcelling out the Furuba, one chapter a night, to make the two volumes I bought last longer, but alas, now I will have to go back to waiting patiently, though I might go back and read all the volumes again as a chapter of Furuba makes for very calming, good-thoughts pre-sleep reading.
Tonight I'm going to
ali_wildgoose's for dinner which I know will be excellent. Today? Well, the apartment is actually pretty clean, I don't need to cook things for lunch/dinner this week as I won't be home, so I'm just going to faff around. Why, maybe I'll even get some writing done!
And what are all of you doing this weekend?
ETA: Let's go Red Sox!

Date: 2004-10-09 08:37 am (UTC)My plan for the weekend is not to fall too ill. :) And to tidy up my place, after two weeks of working it looks like a bomb went off in it. Writing and eating sushi tonight at Ina's also features.

Date: 2004-10-10 09:16 am (UTC)Working always makes your place messier, this is totally true. I found this week that even though I worked a lot I managed to keep the place pretty clean because I was good about taking out the trash--take away food creates so much trash!
How was the sushi?

Date: 2004-10-09 08:38 am (UTC)My apartment is actually pretty clean too! If you told me you were going to show up at my door in 20 minutes, I would merely wipe a counter off and pick up the dirty clothes. That's good for me. :>
As for this weekend, I am going to the baby shower of some good friends of mine today. It's gonna be great to see all my old restaurant friends and we may all even go out for some dinner and drinking tonight! Sunday I plan to take it easy...fold some clothes, read some books.
That's probably more than you wanted to know :)) Hope you have fun at Ali's tonight! Give her a hug for me. <3

Date: 2004-10-10 09:09 am (UTC)See, this is why I don't do stuff like NaNoWriMo. There are enough things in my life to feel behind on and guilty about without adding an artificial deadline for a novel to the pile. But good luck!
