What a weekend, man. I would like to say that I have a great, vast love for Dan the Punka as he is the cutest little burgeoning rock snob since . . . well, since my own best friend, which is somewhat unsettling on several levels.

Thursday I left work and went to collect [livejournal.com profile] maybethemoon, get her to the line party where [livejournal.com profile] marleigh and [livejournal.com profile] ali_wildgoose awaited, and then back home where I waited for [livejournal.com profile] evil_erato's arrival. Later Crystal and I met Moony at my local diner, and Ali joined us for sweet potato fries and the like, and then they went to Ali's and we came back here.

Friday I ran a few errands, continued the clutter removal, got [livejournal.com profile] evil_erato off to a morning show of PoA so she wouldn't be seeing it for the first time at the IMAX, then met up with [livejournal.com profile] heidi8, [livejournal.com profile] msscribe, [livejournal.com profile] slytherincess, [livejournal.com profile] debellatrix, [livejournal.com profile] littletort, [livejournal.com profile] tea_and_toast, [livejournal.com profile] gwendolyngrace and Amy for pizza, then went up to [livejournal.com profile] lissinthecity's hotel room and met Jory, and collected a [livejournal.com profile] maybethemoon once again, and then returned home before running off to collect [livejournal.com profile] ladylisse.

We dressed and went to Liss' birthday, where there were many of the people already mentioned, and the best part definitely was watching her face while she read the card and realized what her Very Useful present was from all of us! Excellent idea, whoever came up with it! Eventually [livejournal.com profile] tromboneborges, [livejournal.com profile] epicyclical, [livejournal.com profile] titanic_days and [livejournal.com profile] aegeus joined us, then we wandered off to B&N where I bought the infamous NME, and thence to Starbucks, and then it was home.

Saturday dawned grey and ucky, and I reluctantly dragged myself out of bed and met Heidi at her hotel, and we went up to my office to collect all that stuff that was raffled off at the screening, and Gwen and Amy helped us bring it up to the theater. Then I ran home in time to greet [livejournal.com profile] weatherby, who, since she drove, was able to help me take my four bags of clothes to Goodwill. Excellent. Rach, Crystal, Lisse and I grabbed some diner food, then got ready for the theater.

There were so many people at that theater that I'm amazed that I found everyone, and that everyone got into the theater. But the movie began and there was such screaming at many, many moments, and people patting me on the head when Seamus appeared, and hooting at shippy moments and double entendres, and it was a big fat load of fun. Then a large number of folks got a yen for Mexican, and then there were any number of after-after parties, and we nearly got Dionne kicked out of her hotel room which I was pretty impressed by.

Today Crystal went to shop with Abbie, and Rach and LIsse and I met friends, including [livejournal.com profile] rubydebrazier and [livejournal.com profile] muffinbutt and [livejournal.com profile] dezzikitty, for a great brunch and some shopping, and then Lisse and Rach left and I went to dinner with some folks, and then sad goodbyes were said to Alex and Aegy, and home I came.

I need to find a pen with a light on, which they didn't have at B&N for some reason, and see PoA once more, preferably alone and at an odd time of day, and then write a proper review that will include why I love this movie (and a few refutations of those who didn't) and why I hate this score. And now, to bed, and back to life, and etc.
