So I'm home, and I'm tired and sort of unfocussed, and that's a great time to watch tv, only there is fuckall on, which is vexing. I find Julia Sawalla's presence on Jonathan Creek to be completely annoying and wish that other girl was still on there, as it's clear her character is really just there to be silly and annoy Jonathan and that is seriously boring.
Also, as I was flicking around, I saw that Trey Anastasio is supposed to be on the Charlie Rose Show tonight and can I just say, there is no measure small enough to capture my caring about him, I don't know why he's doing all kinds of press right now, and frankly he seems like kind of an asshole. I base this on (1) some lame trip he took to Africa with Dave Matthews to "learn about music" that was filmed by VH1 in which he claimed, "Oh, we are merely students and they are the teachers" which is so upper class white condescending bullshit I can't even deal. I mean, even Paul Simon would never say stupid shit like that. Also, (2) he appears to have broken up his band but presented it as a mutual decision, which is just lame. Never mind that I've never liked his band and I find jam music generally sort of lazy.
Now, I could just be irritable from 4 hours on a crowded train, but I doubt that because I had a nice book written by a friend to keep me company (yes, that means that you will finally get your notes as soon as I've typed them up) and my nicely charged ipod and a quiet and polite seat mate. Really, what more could you ask?
