You know, I have all this swirl and uck in my personal life right now, especially today, and jkrowling.com gave me some welcome distraction.

I think the site is very very pretty, and fun, and will be great fun for the wee sma's as well, and I had a good time waiting for things to happen and mucking about. Ginerva is just another thing that will need to get changed in the small reworking of EWFS, but I really don't have a sense of alas I was wrong about it.

But oh, the info on Dean! HA! he was always Black so there. HA! he is from London, I was right about that. HA! he was once named Gary! (That will never stop being funny.)

Between OotP and this, I feel very vindicated in my minor character obsessions. Yes I do. As always, thank you, JKR. *bows*

I thought it was very interesting that his father died by death eaters. Adds a whole lot more depth to his character, knowing all this stuff.

I like the idea of Seamus occasionally calling Dean Gary and Dean being all -_- about it.

Backstory. Dude, Thomas Sr. must have been a badass or the DE's wouldn't have wanted him so badly they had to kill him, man.

And oh yes indeed. My thought? He must have been brilliant in some way - doubt he was an auror, but maybe a world class duelist ala Flitwick and thus really desirable.

Although, actually, I'm not convinced on the matter of his name. It seems to me there's a high likelyhood that Dean doesn't know his step-father isn't his real father - I mean, he does honestly believe he's all Muggle. He may have been adopted, and thus the name Thomas. *curious*

Swirl and uck - like sturm and drang, but less German. My swirl continues as well, though the uck factor currently at work in the land of Emily is pretty low.
