Delaware. Okay!

After working far too much this week, I cleaned my apartment a bit on Friday morning. Then it was off on a crowded train (though I had a seat!) to DE and the erstwhile msscribe.

Last night she and I, her daughter, her daughter's friend, and her parents, went to one of those Japanese grill places where I had a very nice teriyaki snapper. Dionne is such a regular here that she knows all the chefs by name. Then we came back to the house, texting epicyclical all night until she and Josh arrived elsewhere in DE. Conversations were had and plans were made. Dionne's husband came home and continued the tradition of fandom people having stellar partners. He's wry, and sort of gossipy, which is very funny. We watched trash tv and then I collapsed at the ungodly hour of 10pm!

Now Dionne is off taking care of something and I'm letting her husband have some Dad time with daughter, then many Saturday like things will happen. Ah, the suburbs.

I crawled into bed at 10:30 last night, barely able to keep my eyes open. It was bizzare in the extreme.
