Holiday addendum

¡Hace frio! I was very glad for the new coat today, I'll tell you what.

In the last entry I forgot to say two things.

First, I got some excellent blue glasses to match my apartment. I had already put them away, so they weren't on the table with the rest of the presents so I omitted them.

Second, the Black tree was magical. I knew it would be when Holly said it would be covered with faeries and she showed me one of them, but the tree itself was sort of upside down, so it fit perfectly in the corner and spilled over us, as though we were in some forest with these branches spreading over our heads, and the little white lights--just gorgeous.

Being back at work was actually not as much of a shock as I thought it would be. This was a good thing.

That's always true when you throw a party; you hardly see anyone between trying to see everyone and keeping people's glasses full. But hey, there was always the next day. :)
