I love this weather. I love autumn. Though, it makes me homesick which is complicated, very complicated. It does make me want to listen to Fleetwood Mac and Steely Dan, though, and yearn for a car.
Anyway, Friday night I went out with a friend for drinks and dinner, then cupcakes and a walk from the village to Chelsea, where he bought shoes and I admired some shoes that he proved looked just like their men's shoes. This is typical. I am beginning to realize that I am girly in all the annoying ways, and boyish in all the unattractive ways, instead of the other way around. Hence, total absence of play.
Saturday was beautiful but very cold. Emily and I went to the greenmarket and I realized that I really, really need to go to Fresh Direct and get food back into my house and get cooking again so I can save money and lose more weight and just generally feel better. I hate going out for food that is either something I could have made, or not really very good for me. I have been trying to remember where I used to go in the city when I was younger and had no money, and I realized that I didn't go out that much. I cooked nearly all of my meals, and then when I went out I went someplace with pretty good food because otherwise why go out? I can make my own grilled cheese, thanks.
Anyway, then we went to Whole Foods and then came back here and made eggplant chili and apple crisp which was a great thing to do on a fall day. We also watched the second half of Pride and Prejudice. The eclipse, sadly, wasn't visible from my apartment, which was odd, as the moon just streams in most of the time. Perhaps it was overcast.
Today Ali and I are going to see Love, Actually. I think I'm going to try to see Intolerable Cruelty this week, as well.
I need to make new icons, but I don't have Photoshop. I also need to buy a bunch of DVDs.

A little boost
Date: 2003-11-09 09:36 am (UTC)If these words don't do it for you, Clio. Then I think the movie will do the trick. My sister and I joked that after the film, we should've snogged to have the perfect ending. But then, how would we explain it to our parents.
And if all else fails, I have cheese, I have bread, and I definitely have Parkay, so just say when. K?
Re: A little boost
Date: 2003-11-10 08:43 am (UTC)I did like the movie. I liked the structure of it very much. But then, I'm a sucker for ensembles and for romantic comedy, obviously.
Thanks. I didn't mean to sound so sad, but you know, sometimes it just leaks out even if you don't mean it to.

Date: 2003-11-10 08:57 am (UTC)I can't even imagine having some dead sexy boyfriend, which is probably the problem.
However, I do know how to tango. Also Charleston. Sadly, I do not know how to fox trot.

Date: 2003-11-09 11:56 am (UTC)I have this great desire to make icons, but no more space and no desire to have more for myself, so if you want something just ask. I *love* playing around with photoshop. It's fun!

Date: 2003-11-10 08:52 am (UTC)Once I get some old DVDs I think I want to get some pics from them, so I'll have all these old movie pairings. It's all about the romantic comedies, yo.
I also have to get my finger out of my arse and pay for the extra space, but that will be totally worth it.

Date: 2003-11-10 10:42 am (UTC)You know you can steal my 'boys' icon if you want it, or I can stick different text to that same pic. I've got all the s/d pics from the archive, and I can do whatever you want to assorted images you send me. :)

Date: 2003-11-10 08:45 am (UTC)The Harry/Hermione ship is called "Pumpkin Pie" so that just means I'm a Harry/Hermione person. As you sort of already knew.
It has been a while, but you have sounded pretty damn busy! Which is a very good thing, I think. ^_^
