So the sucky thing is, I dropped my cd player on the subway tracks yesterday. However, I had a mix cd in it, which I can replace, and it was old and skippy anyway, so I wanted a new one, and my friend D is in town and he can get me a discount. So it isn't as sucky as it might be. I'm taking a plane trip tomorrow but I won't need it as they give you headphones, and then the hotel rooms have cd players which is nice, I can wake up to music.
What else? I cataloged my cds. I have about 410, counting soundtracks but not counting compilations, which I haven't done yet. I have four CDs from Jane magazine. But those what's new and cool are great when they come out and then later they're just, what was new and cool in 1996.
Saw my friend S today, and gave her and her husband the wedding present my other friend The Poet and I got for her: a wooden salad bowl, beautifully hand carved, a fondue set, and some candles. All well received. Then had great Korean BBQ dinner. Mmm, kimchi and bibimbob. Old friends, wonderful things.
Am also excited because The Poet and I are going to do some writing exercises and she, with her total genius and MFA, thinks I have a good sense of character. Too bad I have no sense of plot. I think this will be great, though.
Wah. Business trip. SO don't want to pack or anything. May just roll into bed in 20 min or so and get up ridiculously early. Yeah, that sounds really excellent, actually.
Have I said how much I'm looking forward to my vacation next week?
