Home again
Aug. 12th, 2003 11:18 amand very resentful that I have to work five days this week! Gah! My only solace is that we just moved offices and now I have a very nice view and some unpacking to do which never feels like work, really.
The rest of the Boston trip was great. Plenty of downtime spent shopping and writing. Very nostalgic journey to the Border Cafe in Cambridge, a favorite haunt in my college years. Then we walked past the infamous statue of three lies to the steps of dear old Widener library and sat on one of the side arms and talked. It was odd, there were people with us who were the age I had been when I was there, or even younger, so even though I was thinking, oh, so much has happened in my life since I was here, I was also thinking, I was their age when I was here, and I hadn't done half of what they have already achieved. And I certainly haven't done much since.
Sunday we made C take us to Target, but there was no HP in the boy's dept, only SpongeBob so we were sorely disappointed. I did get a hoodie, though. AND, I met Elia and saw Irina again and both were of course delightful as could be.
Big hugs to those that need them. I'm here by YM and phone and text anytime, you know that.
