Hey I am not only doing this, but I posted new fic today--No One Needs to Know, listed below!
One of the reasons I like established relationship fics is that so often at the end of a first-time fic there's a kind of gloss over the real lives of the characters in favor of the romance of the moment. But I like seeing what happens when they come back to real life, and come out of their little romance bubble. So post-EWFS, I wrote some adjusting-to-relationship fics for all four of my major pairings. (Well, for Pansy/Parvati we're still preslash, but it ends up being a very important moment between the two of them.) These fics all take place in the early spring of sixth year, before Easter break.
I Wanna Hold Your Hand: Seamus Finnigan/Dean Thomas, PG, 2000 words. Best friend. Boy friend. Oddly, not the same thing at all.

There are a lot of Seamus/Dean fics from Dean's POV, where Seamus is mysterious and unknowable. Setting aside that I'm not particularly fond of that set up for a ship fic to begin with, I sort of liked flipping it for this story, so that Dean is mysterious and unknowable and Seamus is confused. Of course, Seamus is eccentric and capricious; he just doesn't see himself that way, because he's in his own head.
Also, while it was dealt with to a certain extent in EWFS, I like further thoughts on how the roommates would absorb having a couple in their midst.
Shut Your Eyes and Think of Somewhere: Draco Malfoy/Ginny Weasley, PG, 1300 words. Sure, their relationship is new, but Ginny still wonders why Draco is so fond of kissing her in the hallways of Hogwarts.

This was written rather recently for kiss bingo. I'd wanted a Draco/Ginny school fic for a while but it took a lot of false starts to work out what they'd be up to, mostly because they have a long established relationship period within EWFS. Then I picked up on a throwaway line from "I Wanna Hold Your Hand" where Seamus says they don't need to snog in the hallways and Dean says, "No, we have Draco and Ginny for that." I was also thinking about how Draco is making his Hogwarts home, with his house being divided. And I like the idea of keeping Draco rather close to Snape. And I love the yin/yang way that Ron and Padma give advice--they do the same for Parvati in With One Breath.
Steady Rollin' Woman: Harry Potter/Hermione Granger, PG, 1900 words. Mandy can give Harry something that Hermione can't. Or can she? Seamus doesn't think so, and as always, he has an idea . . .

This is another of those writing-Hermione-against-type fics, but also very much about her settling into herself, and a continuation of the themes of EWFS for her. I'd set up the idea that her mother is a motorcycle rider, and I was standing in a Hot Topic one day and thought about Hermione really allowing herself to sex it up, and somewhat unknowingly fulfilling a fantasy of Harry's from EWFS--which I might have done unconsciously; I don't remember making that connection on purpose at the time. Anyway it's always fun to have ridiculous teenage scheming and bonus Sirius-and-Remus, as well as Seamus and Hermione continuing to be confidants here as in the S/D story.
No One Needs to Know: Parvati Patil/Pansy Parkinson, PG, 1500 words. As their sixth year draws to a close, Pansy tries to leave Hogwarts without taking sides or even saying goodbye, but Draco and Parvati won't let her.

Obviously more pre-slash, or a hint of slash to come, or something. I mean, there is a kiss. Since With One Breath is Parvati's story I wanted this to be Pansy's POV, and like With One Breath it's more serious and about deeper issues. I adore writing her and Draco as BFFs, and there's a ton of that in the sequel, but here is a hint of where we'll be when things open up again.
