Wheee! (wedding)

jlhSo, yesterday I had a business trip, but on the way down, I read Tithe! Or rather, read most of it as I had started it earlier. LOVED IT.
Today and tomorrow I'm off work, which is Very Nice Indeed. Hung about noodle shops, bookstores, and bakeries with![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
gehenna1 and epicyclical.
Then went off for a pre-wedding event. My close friend S is getting married on Saturday to a splendid man, really a great guy who makes her so so happy, which is lovely to see. He's Ismaili, which is a sect of Islam also followed by the Aga Khan. He's of Indian descent, born in East Africa and raised in Calgary. So tonight, we girls gathered at S's house, with her mom, sis and soon-to-be inlaws to get mehendi, or henna "tattoos". I got some designs around my wrists and ankles that look really cute. S got her hands and arms done, and they're so beautiful. ^_^ We also drank a great deal of wine and had some excellent Indian food. Fantastic evening all around.
Tomorrow, errands and sleep.
