Hypothetical AUs: the outcome!

A few weeks ago I posted the hypothetical AU meme (LJ, DW) and got tons of really interesting requests! Here are links to the scenarios:

sistermagpie asked for HIMYM on the frontier and Cameron and Duckie in a Hitchcock thriller.

ferricent asked for ATLA in space.

honestys_easy asked for Top Chef: Vegas at Starfleet Academy

kittyjimjams asked for ATLA pirates. Since I don't know much about the seafaring kind, I gave her pirate radio.

havocthecat asked for Top Chef in a non-horror supernatural AU.

Then alwayswondered asked for Star Trek in a Coffee Shop AU. My scenario was kind of involved and while I didn't want to write it myself, I decided to offer it up to team chulu and teamashayam (Spock/Uhura) at the st_respect ship battle in our final "pimping" post. What I got in return was a request to possibly do a longer story from teamashayam captain wyntreaurora (!) and this awesome Chekov/Sulu story from theotherdibbler! A pretty amazing outcome!

I’m seeing this as a quirky, indie comedy, a la Little Miss Sunshine, about a group of Starfleet officers who take their depressed Klingon friend on a roadtrip. Bittersweet hilarity ensues.

Star Trek fandom needs more roadtrips, I feel.

Haha, I knew the good old Coffee Shop AU needed to exist in ST XI somewhere! I'll have to read that Chulu fic later.
