One more week of Castle and Community; two more weeks of HIMYM, Idol, and DwtS; four more weeks of Glee, Justified, and Top Chef Masters. On the other hand, three weeks til SYTYCD, four weeks til Top Chef DC, and White Collar comes back in mid-July.

HIMYM, "Robots vs. Wrestlers": I LOVE DOUCHEY TED. I also love Ted just being dorky, like his "fun facts about the Empire State Building." But he also immediately jumped just at the name of Robots vs. Wrestlers, so Ted isn't entirely douchey. I like that Lily and Marshall are discussing babies because it feels appropriate for them; it would be strange and out of character for them not to. I'm pleased that Robin returned, pleased that Barney was concerned, and gotta say, loved that no one said Peter Bogdonavich's name. You either knew who he was, or you didn't.

DwtS: I haven't said much about this because there's so little to say. Chad Ochocinco is boring and his flirting with Cheryl is annoying; Evan Lysacek is, well, Evan Lysacek; Nicole Scherzinger is only tolerable because she's dancing with Derek; so that leaves me vaguely rooting for Erin Andrews, and even that is half because Maks hasn't won a MirrorBall. Yet Idol sucks so much this year that DwtS has been beating it often—possibly because their results shows aren't completely boring and annoying.

Castle, "Overkill": Continue to adore Demming—love the little smile on Beckett's face after she kissed him at the elevator. (While I know that the precinct would be the only place Castle would see them kissing, I have to think that a female detective wouldn't let herself be seen kissing her new beau at work.) I'm looking forward to next week and what they actually say to each other about how they feel. I like how they structured the mystery so that Demming and Castle were in competition and in the end were both right, though they were both wrong at various points along the way. I really appreciate the writers making a strong case for Beckett/Demming, as they could easily have been very about it.

Glee, "Laryngitis": As far as I was concerned the entire episode was a long lead into "Rose's Turn." Not that Kurt trying to butch up and ending up looking like a drag king, Puck's pursuit of Mercedes which only made sense sideways but was awesome for having more of Puck's bizarre logic, and Finn telling Rachel to stop being so selfish weren't awesome as well. But I've watched "Rose's Turn" like twenty times since the episode aired.

Justified, "Hatless": God, this show just keeps getting better and better. Raylan getting beat up and kind of deserving it—he was on the side of light but he was being mouthy and unwise about it. Winona barely flinching when she finds him bloodied and bruised makes you wonder how often he was like that. Didn't see much of Ava or the Crowders, and Raylan was on leave from the Marshall's office, but unlike when other shows play musical chairs with their supporting players this episode felt natural, concentrated on what it needed to do.

Top Chef Masters, "Scary Surf and Turf": Anyone else feel like they can't quite get a handle on the judging on this show? Susur is amazing and also quite charming, so I'd be okay watching him walk off with the title, though I'm also rooting for Jonathan and Susan. Actually that would be an amazing final three.

Community, "English as a Second Language": The true blessing of this show is how much chemistry all the characters have with each other, which allowed the show to move on quite well, thanks, after a stunt episode like "Modern Warfare." We have a sense, now, of how all 21 dyads in this show function, and the larger group dynamics, never mind the seven main characters, and mostly I just watch for their conversations. That said, seeing Jeff freak out on Annie was pretty fantastic, as was the way the group was someplace in between—and how Annie made it all work out in the end. Anthropology ftw!
