A weekly post feels like a good effort-to-outcome ratio for TV at the moment. Here's last week's TV.

I also saw Iron Man 2 on Saturday and really loved it so if you want to squee in comments I'd be happy to join you!

HIMYM, "Twin Beds": I really loved the Lily/Marshall B-plot, because often we see Marshall as the one who needs the connection, shows the tenderness—the reacher/settler dynamic explored in "Jenkins." So it was nice to see Lily as the one who grew weary of the twin beds first.

Castle, "Food to Die For": The chefs kinda reminded me of Harold and LeeAnne. I like Demming a lot (but then, I liked Sam Anders too) and I loved when the girlfriend-in-the-middle talked about choosing between the reliable guy and the lover, with Castle of course backing the lover and Beckett backing the reliable guy.

Glee, "Bad Reputation": Loved the whole bit in the library, mostly because of course glee kids would think that the worst thing to do is cause a disturbance in the library, and of course they're the very ones who can get away with it.

Justified, "Blowback": DAN DORITY!!! Keistering a shiv for some spicy fried chicken. Raylan being awesome, then being reminded just how awesome he hasn't been, and boom Boyd AND his daddy are out of jail. And still the show is completely hilarious.

Community, "Modern Warfare." I don't think I can put into words the awesome that was this half hour of television. And I don't even like action movies! But it was like the episode distilled everything I actually do like—or maybe it could because it didn't have to do the work of making me care about the characters, which is usually my barrier with action films. Really, really fantastic.
