writing meme again!

Okay, to cheer myself up, the WIP meme!

It's weird how making a serious decision to leave a fandom makes me feel like I have to get my ducks in a row before I go. For example, my deadline for HP fics is next June, the release date of the final movie. It seems like a good time to put a period on that particular sentence. But once I made that decision I knew I had a few things to clean up—hence my blizzard of short HP fic last year. I don't have that much more to do, actually. And it all feels really positive, like I'll leave feeling good about it.
It's the same with Idol. I don't really have that much more to do and three of the five fics I have a very strong sense of what will happen. The other two, well, we'll see. None of the AUs will be huge monsters. And I feel like, all right. I'm going to leave Rymon behind, mostly because Rymon as part of American Idol is ending, and that's really okay. It's time.
And who knows what will come along! I didn't think this time last year that I'd be headed into Star Trek fandom of all things, and look at me. But likely once the ship battle is over in May I'll just plug along on the Hollywood AU and the other stuff on this list and do a lot less spontaneous writing. I mean, there's a lot on the list!
