jlh | WIP updates again!

Seeing what I've done and what I want to do always cheers me up! I haven't done a WIP update in a long while mostly because after all that writing I did in December, January was a month of horrible, crippling writer's block. February was better, and I was on a roll—and then all that writing was stolen in the robbery. So for most of March, I've been trying to recreate the writing that was in that notebook, which was primarily the third chapter of this AU I've been working on.

The good news is that the chapter is finally finished and sent to betas, so after three months of not writing, strained writing, and angry rewriting, that weight is finally lifted! So now, since the last update in mid-December I have:

FINISHED my Yuletide fic, Caviar Sandwiches and Beer. (Philadelphia Story: Dexter/Tracy, Mike/Liz).
FINISHED three 300-word comfort ficlets to get to my 2009 goal of a fic or chapter per week: He's Got a Million Dollar Car (American Idol: Simon/Ryan), A Belated Inheritance (Harry Potter: Seamus/Dean), and A Lot of Nothing to Do (Harry Potter: Harry/Hermione).
FINISHED a draft of the third chapter of the Kirk/McCoy Hollywood AU.
There are piles of comment fics lying around from various team_jones that I need to post for myself.
I also, one day last week in a weird burst of energy, wrote this longass comment fic for team_jones that I just got back from beta, and hope to post very shortly.
Started my help_haiti Duckie/Cameron fic. I didn't really have a hook for it before, and was just writing my way into it, so losing what I wrote on that in the notebook wasn't as horrible. Even better, the passage of time has given me a hook that I'm pretty sure Heidi will like.
I finally figured out what the D/G schooltime fic needs to be, thank goodness. So that will be written at some point in not too long.
Ryan/Simon season 1 and 3, I haven't forgotten about you! You're next, and after that, the final Rymon fic for season 9.
And the AI9 AU—likely the last—will be 70s Laurel Canyon femslash. I am SO GLAD that I chose 90s club kid for Adam/Kris, and not 70s glam, or I'd be doing 90s Lilith Fair and that's relatively boring.
I'm also seriously considering a fairly short AI5 50s AU because I'm insane in certain specific ways.
