jlh: chibi of ryan and simon hugging (Ryan and Simon Chibi)

Girls, so much better than the boys. But when they were bad, they were horrid.

Rymon moment: Ryan's all, "Kara, it is time to stay away from my man."

  1. Crystal Bowersox, "Long as I Can See the Light." Fucking that was amazing. And yay for getting the apology from Simon.
  2. Haeley Vaughn, "The Climb." Um, that was really not good. She needs to be singing Taylor songs (because she has a smaller voice like Taylor) rather than Miley songs.
  3. Lacey Brown, "Kiss Me." Wow, she's literal. [livejournal.com profile] dreamerren said she's not musically intelligent, but I don't know that she's intelligent at all.
  4. Katie Stevens, "Put Your Records On." Ugh, so much bitch-entitlement vibe from her. Kinda dull, whatever.
  5. Didi Benami, "Lean On Me." So that didn't work, and while her voice sounded good in a sense, what did that song have to do with what she wants to do with her career?
  6. Michelle Delamor, "With Arms Wide Open." So there was actually an effort put forth, and it started well. But it ended really badly. I'm not in love with the 80s outfit plus the 80s hair but whatever.
  7. Lilly Scott, "A Change Is Gonna Come." I really liked this a lot. See, my problem with people singing inspirational songs, like "Imagine" or "What's Going On" or whatever, is that they don't think about what they actually mean, and make them into an overblown "message" and it's all super serious and blah blah blah. But this was stripped back down so we actually paid attention to the song. I wouldn't compare it to Crystal, and I think she'll have another moment, but it was really great.
  8. Katelyn Epperly, "The Scientist." I really loved it. I didn't think it was too slow; I thought it gave her a lot of room to do what she needed to do vocally. Her package was also charming, so I think she's won me over, at least for now.
  9. Paige Miles, "Walk Away." I really like this girl. I think she's charming, and I like the way she carries herself. And as Ellen said, she changed it just enough and I thought it did show off her voice, actually.
  10. Siobahn Magnus, "Think." Okay, so that worked in places, and really kinda didn't work in places, and I wish she'd had more time to rehearse that. But she was definitely up to the challenge and her voice sounded really good.

I'm voting for Crystal, Lilly, Katelyn, Siobahn, and maybe Paige just because she's adorable.

I think you forgot to change Haeley's song from last week!

I have the same problem.

I liked Crystal, hated Haeley, loathed Lacey, disliked Katie, am still infinitely annoyed by Didi, have forgotten Michelle through Siobhan (but have vaguely positive feelings about Kaitlyn?). I loved Ryan getting totally pissed off at Simon!
