Speaking of Ryan, I thought I'd like that his show is on Z100, but I don't know, actually. I don't remember him playing this much music and talking this little on his show in LA, and half the songs they play are weirdly old—I mean, "This Love"? Really? Come on, Clear Channel! I actually want to hear reasonably new pop music from Z100, not stuff that's already played out on HotAC. Meanwhile, I don't think we're getting Ryan's random conversations with Ellen, which is where the good stuff usually is. Alas, for I am too lazy to stream, and too often not home in the mornings. But I wanted to hear him say something about what happened last night, and he has not and now I'm irritated that I listened Pink and Flo Rida for nothing.

The z100 show is really stupid. We get screwed on the stuff that makes his show awesome. It's like they just took him intro-ing songs and added music. It is NOTHING like the kiis show which has tons of talking. Also his show is like ass early so I just end up recording it and listening to it later.

I also heard that his original show and sindicated version are very different - interviews are cut, conversations with stuff are thrown away, and so on. And it's a shame, because usually it's a best part. Well, judging by what I download and hear from KIIS website.
Yesterday he discussed The Hills with some friend, "big football fan", and sang Def Leppard in the process, and I thought I'm going to die!

You record the z100 show or the kiis show? If kiis, how do you record it, may I ask?

Yeah, the celebrity stuff I can get from his fucking website on the podcast. *is annoyed*

I think a lot of the problem is that he's doing a morning show but he's not drive time in almost any other market because of the time difference, and also I'm sure it's much easier to sell in a show for syndication at midday, because those ratings can only get better. But midday shows are about music, not the dj.

I listen to Ryan sometimes too, and I'm confused at how he manages to say he's on Z104 (our local Top40/CHR station). Here we get him from maybe 2-4 p.m. So does he record the show in LA in the morning and then do little station-ID drops that get edited in before its syndicated?

I record the kiis stream. It would be pointless to record the z100 one. I leave the stream running on my computer and I use Total Recorder to record it usually from 930am-1245am EST.

Don't get me wrong, I enjoy Z100, but there are only so many times I can hear Flo-Rida and Poker Face.

we don't get z100 up here most of the time, so i don't know. did he replace somebody? there was one local clear channel station that used to play the z morning zoo and then switch to local announcers in the afternoon, but they dropped it, so i don't know...

The show's syndicated here with the exact same problem. It's not even worth listening to.
