jlhLook, I know there's been a lot to be up in arms about. But just because someone doesn't have the same reaction to something as you do does not mean that (1) they are an idiot or (2) you are an idiot. Good, intelligent people can disagree. Let's stop being so didactic, shall we?
In light of that, I must say that excited is not the word I would use for the announcement of the date. I was more relieved that we finally had a firm date and very happy that we will meet at Nimbus with new canon to talk about. I mean, how much would it have sucked if OoP came out in August? However, I have only been in the fandom for about 15 months, so I've never experienced the "new canon" thing. Maybe I'll actually read posts on HP4GU. Then again, maybe I won't.
