I'm rather irritated that I won't have cable or internet at home until mid next week, among other irritating things, so I'm thinking about entirely silly things, like:

1. JKR maybe saying something sort of nice about H/Hr shippers. It isn't so much that her saying that makes me feel better about her, or the interview, or all that, but it does make me feel less like the OBHWF crowd had the "right" to push me out of fandom, which is how it felt at the time, and also makes me feel better about being able to post the story I'm writing without all my new Idol friends thinking I'm insane.
   
2. the blind items coming out about Simon Cowell's girlfriend breaking up with him, which hint that she's being paid off to not talk about what she knows. Hard not to be tinhattish!
   
3. Yuletide! I just filled out my request, and I can't say what I offered, but I requested WKRP (again), Charles & Caroline Ingalls, Liz Imbrie and Mike Connor, and, well, Rymon. I must say, I'm surprised that Idolfic is small enough to be on Yuletide—and that HIMYM is still small enough. I guess the threshold is higher than I'd thought! 2007 Yuletide was one of the best experiences I've ever had in fandom, so I'm really looking forward to 2008!

2. Yes! This! I almost sent you a UK Daily Mail article (http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-1084055/Hes-given-girlfriend-5-5m-Simon-Cowell-generous-ex--trying-buy-silence.html) yesterday. I couldn't help thinking "Five and half million pounds? A t-shirt saying 'Yes, She Was My Beard' would've been s o o o much cheaper."

3. a. I can't imagine reading any Rymon not written by you. Huh.

2. OMG that article? Insane! Always send such things to me, dude. I need companionship on this slow ride to hell.

Seriously, what is he doing to us? I can't even process this. No wonder Ryan was so cocky all season; he'd got rid of the beard.

3.a. I don't even really know what to say to that except golly! and also !!!! and also, there was a break in the writing but there are only two chapters left and I should be giving you a draft to read by the end of this month!

All I know is, you need to write something to make sense of Simon's recent behavior. ;)

3.a. By the end of the month (Thanksgiving week), I should have all the performance eval write-ups off my plate. Looking forward to the pleasure of the story!

Firstly i cannot wait for the new fic and this - "No wonder Ryan was so cocky all season; he'd got rid of the beard" Soooo true. I'd say there was an extra bounce in the Rymon step this year and maybe when Ryan kissed Simon on air, that was his little was of publicly saying 'thank you' for making the beard break.

It's unbearable that Ryan hasn't commented on the break up so far, it's usually easier to read between the lines with the stuff he says; although Simon talking about being 'off women' and having 'nobody new' in his life is a shining beaker of hope!

First, I love that picture of them. They're just so adorable!

Ryan has been bizarrely silent, it's true. He has something to say about almost every other aspect of Simon's life, and now that Simon's talking I'm not sure why Ryan can't talk as well, but maybe he doesn't trust himself. I guess we'll have to wait until the next time Simon calls in, which might be a while.

Simon is trying to kill us. He is clearly finding this hilarious.
