jlhAs many of you know, my parents live in a wee house in the middle of the woods in southern Maine. My brother lives in a slightly larger house about 20 miles away, also in the woods. I just returned from a very nice Christmas brunch at my brother's. Got to see all his shibby pictures from his hunting-and-fishing trip to Alaska (he got a caribou and a bunch of salmon) and man is it gorgeous.
Then I drove home in the Mustang (NOT the best winter car, being rear-wheel-drive and all) over roads just dusted with snow. The storm started about two hours ago and while it's pretty, picturesque drifting snowflakes now, it's supposed to be a proper blizzard tonight, and we're to get a foot of snow by the time it's all over in the morning. So, safe travels to everyone in the northeast today.
