Teen Wolf and Snape. Also, quiz.

So I'm watching Teen Wolf, a movie I dearly love (oh Michael J Fox how I adored you) because, Boof! Boof is awesome! Anyway, there's that confrontation between Scott's dad and the asshole principal that was a requirement for all 80s teen films, at the prom? And it was all about how the principal had liked Scott's mom back in high school but his dad got her instead, and now she's dead and stuff? And Scott's dad is all, this is between me and you, leave the kid out of it?

Friends, that is totally Snape's plot! Now, I love Teen Wolf, but it is by no means actually a good movie. It was a throwaway movie starring a kid from TV. So, you know, not exactly the place of awesome plot points, even if Mr. Bateman starred in the much crappier sequel.

I'm returning to the climactic basketball game with its crappy Alphaville soundalike song-with-on-the-nose-lyrics, "Win in the End," but I leave you with this:

(The second person was Jason Bateman. Yes, I had a type then. Yes, I married the type later. But with fewer freckles.)

I love TeenWolf. At a flea market here back in 1985 or 1986 I bought a Teen Wolf standee and it stood up in my room until I went to college. I think my mom tossed it at that point. Feh. I refused to see the sequel, though, because I didn't want to damage my love for either the original, or for Jason Bateman.

I was talking about MJF the other day. He's one of the only celebrities I ever had to deal with who completely twitterpaited me. I've no idea, because while I always like him, it's not like I was a specific fan. And then he came into the store with his wife and I just looked at him and was like EEP EEP! You look just like you look, Michael J. Fox!

For a short time in college I dated a guy who much resembled MJF. Not a dead ringer but a resemblance AND he wasn't any taller than 5'5". He smiled exactly like MJF and I think that's what drew me in the first place. Jeez, he was cute.
