Some stuff on a Saturday

You know what I love about fandomsecrets? The steady stream of folks confessing their real-person shipping. Judge not, etc. Today, it was an Obama/Edwards shipper, and mostly I hope that it turns out better than the Kerry/Edwards did.

Yesterday I changed the look of my LJ for spring, deleted some icons, backed out of some communities and cancelled feeds I never read. I feel very cleansed.

I also love that in the Boston Globe story about Ted Kennedy recovering from seizures they said that this afternoon he was sitting up in his bed watching the Red Sox and later he and his family ate take out from Legal Sea Food.

I found a motherlode of MatchGame icons and in looking up Elaine Joyce found out that she's married to Neil Simon now. Remember when she and Bobby Van used to be on TattleTales? Can you imagine any television couples being on a show like that now? Even the soon-to-be-married Ellen and Portia?

Kerry had little personality and no charisma. I voted for him. I just had no interest in his sex life or drive. Obama/Edwards could be hot. Obama/H.Clinton even hotter. Imagine the hate!sex!

That said, I wish more folks would "own" their secrets. (Did you see someone "stole" my Gordon/JP secret declaration and posted it?) There are so many "I'd Hit That" and "I Ship It" secrets not! I could submit, but what's the point? I'm thinking of making them all into pretty "postcards" and posting them in my own LJ or making a community called letmeshowuthem.

ITA re Kerry. I was saying to dreamerren earlier that it's a shame there are no interesting republicans, because there's less hate sex—and I mean, Obama is such a top, and Hillary would fuck them with a strap on just on principle.

I did see the Gordon/JP, but it was taken down as a repeat before I could link to it in my LJ, but I totally thought of you! I have tons of things I'd say happily under my own name, and we'd get the fun of making the postcards!

ALSO, I feel you are one of three people who could appreciate this, but the idea of Simon and Ryan on TattleTales seized my imagination and will not let go. Can't you see them in those enormous headphones? And on the other side with the big monitor in front of them that people were always hugging? And Simon would be like, "I refuse to be in the 'banana' section" and Ryan would be like, "That's fine, I look horrible in yellow." And when they got questions wrong calling each other "darling" through clenched teeth?
