I'm over Randy too, Jacob
May. 14th, 2008 11:19 pmJacob's recap of last night's Idol was so ftw. I love how he's moved from "hmm, wonder if Ryan and Simon are fucking" to "Ryan and Simon are in love, let's just take that as a given and move on." So we got the final that we've been expecting at least since Michael Johns left, if not the first round of the finals, only now small David doesn't look like as much of a lock as he used to. I won't even make a prediction on what it will rest on or how it will go.
Wow, wasn't Spike a Grade A asshole on Top Chef tonight? I'm glad Dale brought it down a peg and managed to win without a lot of drama, but mostly it's awesome to see Stephanie rocking once again, while Antonia and Richard were just confident in the background. Also, I totally called Sam from the preview, so I win all that is to be won. I've never been a huge fan of Andrew, and his behavior at judge's table and after being eliminated reminded me why. I wouldn't have missed any of the bottom three, though for girl power reasons I was hoping it wasn't Lisa. Amazing that the sexes are still even this late in the game.
Proper restaurant wars next week, and it sort of looks like the teams are Dale/Lisa/Spike and Richard/Stephanie/Antonia, which isn't going to make Dale or Lisa happy. Getting down to the wire!

Date: 2008-05-15 04:14 am (UTC)Andrew was totally out of control. Big deal she spoke up to save herself--the judges were already aware of it so it's not like she threw him under any bus or was responsible for his getting kicked out. Was he there when Dale went off about how he did all the work?
I was so happy when Stephanie was one of the top two.:-)

Date: 2008-05-15 01:52 pm (UTC)Simon will make Syesha sing "Unchained Melody," because his favorite things in the world besides Ryan Seacrest are that song and black chicks.
David Cook, "Closer." And this will cause a riot and the Kodak Theater will be destroyed in a panty-throwing free-for-all by slavering Cookie Monsters, and Simon will carry Ryan out of the burning building in his arms.
Also, Simon says that Roberta wrote the song about him, and Ryan gets jealous, and oh, how we laugh.
Then Ryan calls Simon his boo three times in a row, and all is right with the universe.
And of the four faces? I would have to say that Simon was even more right than usual, which I didn't know was possible; Paula was a bit more coherent but mattered even less; I am so over Randy I am right this second standing on top of his head playing guitar for Journey; and Ryan Seacrest is, and will always be, my boo.
because it is just that awesome.
