Anything would have been anticlimactic after the last two episodes. That said, it's sad that Ted meeting Stella's kid felt anticlimactic. Barney overcoming all of his wingman's shortcomings to get him a lady was just more proof of Barney's magic, but I love that it took Robin's help, and that Robin and Barney's relationship hasn't really changed because they slept together. That's oddly comforting. I hope the Ted-Barney breakup doesn't last the summer, because (1) woe and (2) they're still on the bubble, though we should know next week.

Next week: Barney and Britney. Two weeks: season finale!

It's buried in this article (http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/hr/content_display/television/news/e3i06a73bb9ccfd10cfca735d9d9ec9e2bb) about network renewals, but it says, "As for 'How I Met Your Mother,' a pickup is considered a given."

Will Forte as Randy was made of win. And yes on the whole Barney-Robin thing.

I've been catching up these last few days, and watched Sandcastles and The Goat last night. OH MY GOD.

I really really hope that Barney and Ted make up soon, because the thought of them not being bros breaks my heart. I'm kinda hoping that Robin is the one who helps fixes things, and Ted will forgive him when he finds out that Robin wasn't just another conquest for Barney. I could have exploded with glee when they hooked up :D

The ep is sitting in my computer at home, and I so can't wait to get home and watch it!

My prediction is that when things go south with Stella, that and something that Barney does will bring Ted back. Last night when (Marshall? Lily?) said that Ted was only 'over' Barney because he was happy with Stella, Older Ted agreed. I don't expect a "very special episode" where Ted realizes that Barney can't be replaced or left, because HIMYM has so far been better than to give us VSEs, but I think something like that is going to happen.

I wasn't really into the whole Ted/Stella storyline this week. I thought it was kind of childish. Like--OMG, you're a single mother of a six-year-old child who's also a doctor? What do you mean you haven't been consistently dating and getting in and out of relationships for the past five years?

Also I'm just not that into Stella. I don't dislike her or anything, but she is just inoffensive and bland.

I was so happy when Robin came to help Barney out. What was that you said recently about the show playing with gender expectations? Love that Robin is a lot less emotional about the whole thing--than either of the guy's actually. And Barney crying over how happy Ted would be when he got him laid was just precious.
