You know, I didn't like almost anything that happened this week, even the stuff that Simon liked. I just wasn't feeling it, and it wasn't the theme—I love 70s music.

Michael Johns, "You Can Go Your Own Way." That was a lot of not great. Like, eh. Four singers later I couldn't even remember that he had opened the show.

Jason Castro, "I Just Want to Be Your Everything." I kinda liked it, and I thought it was clever of him to let the backup singers take that top.

Luke Menard, "Killer Queen." Ugh, wrong song choice, and I feel like he didn't know what any of his words meant. Cuter tonight though.

Robbie Carrico, "Hot Blooded." You know, just do whatever you want, because I sort of don't care?

Danny Noriega, "Superstar." I cannot believe he sang a fucking Carpenters song. He really irritates me with his paint by the numbers young gayness.

David Hernandez, "Papa Was a Rolling Stone." OMG, that was EPIC in its ridiculousness. What was that ending? What was the leap? What was any of that?

Jason Yeager, "Without Love." Fantastic song choice, I thought, as Danny Osmond shows that he is a little bit rock and roll.

Chikezie, "I Believe to My Soul." It was really good, and also, he got a high five from Ryan for making fun of Simon's clothing.

David Cook, "All Right Now." I really liked this a lot.

David Archuleta, "Imagine." Dude, way to bring the room down. I thought it was kinda boring, actually and he totally lost all of his charm.

Hmm. I'm voting for David Cook, Chikezie, and Jason Castro.

Yay David Cook! He did so good...I'm so proud :D

I forgot about Michael too about midway through. Other than that no one else impressed me except for David A, who for what it's worth, admittedly kicked Blake's butt at that song.

We're pretty much on the same page (http://jenniferearlene.livejournal.com/900.html?#cutid1), I think. I was worried to post my reactions, because you never know if people are gonna freak the fuck out if, GOD FORBID, you don't like somebody's performance. But I figured, if they don't like it, they don't gotta read it.

So, thanks! (For being cranky, just like me!)

:-) Jennifer

Chikezie was my favorite in a very boring night, which was nice because I've never found him interesting before. It's a shame the first half of the show was so mediocre - I ended up listening with one ear to the rest.

we're all over the place tonight, bb! i loved luke and david hernandez. chikezie too, though. i didn't love anybody else. i hated robbie but then i hate that song violently. i love david cook despite hating THAT song. i didn't love michael johns or jason yeager despite loving THOSE songs. so, it was a weird evening for me. and i'm with you on archuleta, though i love the kid- i can only handle that song when it's stark.

See, yeah, I also found David Archuleta to be bland... I mean, he sings well, in that boy band kind of a way. And he's personally adorable -- I really do like him! But I'm not getting the bias.

I also liked Chikezie.
