Do you think they cancelled 'Til Death?

The hour bloat gave us time for my favorite part, the cracktastic group sing: Bailamos! I thought that Chris and Melinda and Jordin sounded great in their bits—IMO, that was the song Chris should have been singing last night—and Blake and LaKisha sounded fantastic together. Thank goodness, because the Ford ad sucked. J Lo didn't, at least.

Idolator had a spoiler for a huge upset of LaKisha going out that was all over the American Idol boards, but they were wrong-o-rama, weren't they? As for that bottom three, I knew that Chris was going to get the Phil Stacey memorial on the bubble award and it seemed like he did too, as he didn't seem too upset about being in the bottom three. As for Phil, anyone else get the sense that he thought he was going? He was standing there smiling until he heard that he was safe, and then his smile vanished.

Jon Peter Lewis (remember him?) was on the local Fox morning show and said that Haley was out because the folks who had been voting for Gina would never vote for Haley. (I bet those votes went to Blake, or maybe Jordin.) Haley's been in the bottom two the past three weeks, and also next week is country and singers often leave the week before their strongest theme.

In Rymon news, wow, we are going to get 375 icons out of those caps, aren't we? It makes up for the last two weeks of not much. On the other hand, next week is country so get ready for yet another uneven show and more grouchy Simon. Then it's the inspiration show—please, America, I know you won't, but I would love it if you'd get rid of Sanjaya before he fucking sings "I Believe I Can Fly"—and after that the no-doubt cracktastic BonJovi show and the sure-to-be-fun disco night with Barry Gibb. Then OMG top three! (At this moment my top three picks are Melinda, Jordin and Blake. Let's hope Clive picks better songs this season!)

As for the Top Design finale, after an entire season that was really sort of irritating the finale was really satisfying. I loved both lofts, loved that Matt won, and loved Carissa's attitude about it. She was right; it meant more to him to win than to her because making it to the finals was a win for her. And there was so much more love between Carissa and Carl! ziggy1278, I hope you're not too disappointed.

I am so not watching Shear Genius. No Bravo Wednesdays for me for a while! I know, what will I do? Oh, schoolwork, right.

I love how Phil keeps winning the boot-prediction poll, keeps showing up in the bottom three, but never quite manages to actually leave. Not that I'm complaining, because Haley's time was up weeks ago.

Those guys that like Haley don't really vote, or they're busy voting for Sanjaya because god forbid they not make fun of everything in the universe. Yick.

Hopefully Phil or Sanjaya are next, then the other one. I really would love the top 5 to be the 5 best actual singers. Which actually on this show often happens; as you get closer to the end people get more serious, both the singers and the voters. Though I find that the only ones I really care about are Melinda, Jordin, Blake and Chris.

I think it will be Phil or Sanjaya, depending on how tired of the Sanjaya Show everyone gets. Now that TPTB are in on it (http://idolator.com/tunes/idolator.s-american-idolatry/idolators-american-idolatry-haleys-legs-walk-away-251744.php) hopefully the joke will just lose speed. Chris should really have no trouble with country week though LaKisha could have some trouble.

I stumbled onto your drabbles and the-fic-where-they're-convinced-that-Paula-knows last night by way of idolslash, and mistress_mab told me that (in addition to being all about Simon/Ryan, like I figured from your fics) you also want Phil Stacey to go home. So I thought it would be a good idea for me to friend you.

Just so you know, my first thought when I saw that the week after next is inspirational themed was, "OMG Sanjaya is going to effing sing 'I Believe I Can Fly' and I'm just going to fall down dead!!!!14" :-)

I think we're a little pile of Phil-haters, and also we underextimate the public so much that we didn't think they'd get rid of Haley and don't think Sanjaya is going anyplace. That said, Phil has been in the bottom three every single week except one. Blake, LaKisha, Jordin and Melinda have never been in the bottom group though next week I expect at least one of them will be, because I expect Chris R to do quite well for country week. But Phil, so creepy, so boring.

Please, friend away! The more the merrier, and I myself just went on a bit of a Rymon friending spree!

I don't dislike Phil the way I disliked Haley or Chris S, I just find him boring and I don't really want to see him sing again, like Stephanie or increasingly LaKisha. I'm vexed that Gina went out before Phil or Haley or Sanjaya, though. As for the Sanjaya Show, at least he's working it. If he's still there when Chris R goes, I'll be pissy, and if he's still there and Blake, Jordin or Melinda go there will be NO WORDS.
