To my fellow Manhattanites: The mayor just gave a press conference and thinks that the smell is more likely the chemical that makes natural gas smell, than the natural gas itself, as there is no evidence of a gas leak. I thought it smelled more like heating oil, myself, though it has dissipated from my neighborhood at this point.

In other news, the non-fandom wank that makes you feel oh so much less crazy, just in case you haven't seen it yet.

The thing I always love about wanks is the way people have accepted the Big Crazy Thing and are just fighting over Some Small Point, and an outsider looks at it and says, but, what about the Big Crazy Thing? I mean, this woman doesn't even care that he sleeps with his horses; she just wants him to be a little more affectionate and not get jealous when she has other lovers. Just taking that furry thing a little too far, man.

On the poly's wank thread there's all these links to other crazy shit this guy has said and what amazes me is people who like to constantly talk as though they are a horse and put things like, "stomps foot and shakes mane* into their comments. Like, wow, this is a whole lifestyle for you, isn't it?
