Well, I've been doing schoolwork and housework all day and will be doing more this evening, but at the moment I've hit that wall called DINNER, and while I wait for the Thai beef in chili sauce to show up I thought I'd update with whatever exciting news I can scrounge up.

Hmm.

Well, I did finally receive a replacement battery for my laptop (as I had one of the ones that might catch fire) so no more sudden losses of power on this end, and my laptop can once again actually function as a laptop after 6 weeks of being tethered. (Oh, and all of you who said it wouldn't take 6 weeks? It took nearly 7, and in the end they had to send it DHL.) At least this post won't be lost because the power cord slipped out of the computer.

I may post again after tonight's Studio 60 episode. I must admit, I'm still on the fence about it and Six Degrees, and while I find Ugly Betty adorable I'm not always in the mood for it. But you know, that's what new seasons are all about. Given that I'm not a SF fan, I won't be on that Heroes train—tried it out, but it didn't grab me like I'd hoped. Alas!

Any shows you've tried and already thrown to the curb?

I tried Smith on CBS...I threw it out after the second episode, CBS threw it out after the third.

Apart from that, most of the ones I started watching I'm still with. I'm amazingly un-fickle this season ;)

I'm teetering on the edge of not watching Nip/Tuck anymore. I love the two main characters, and some of the guest characters are fantastic, but I'm not always interested in the stories.

Other than that, I'm a happy tv fan. When they're on, I watch Bones and Supernatural regularly, Smallville semi-regularly (my son is actually a bigger fan than I am); and when the Stargates return from their loooooooong hiatus in March, I'll be on that train again.

Hm. Not exactly a variety of shows, there, I admit.

Me too. I didn't glom on to all that much, though there was a TON of new stuff this season.

haha, I was going to say in the post that Smith doesn't count. Man, Ray Liotta, not so much with the aging well, eh? In Field of Dreams he was OMG so hot and now he's just kinda puffy.

Are you watching Dr Who or that spin off that everyone seems to be screaming about at present, Torchwood or something? If I recall you aren't much of a torrent'er.

I'm liking most of what I'm watching, which is prolly too much given my schedule but hey, that's what the TIVO is for.

I don't even watch Dr. Who. I tried it out last season, but it didn't hold me. But, yeah, I also don't do the dl-ing thing, either. Two strikes against Torchwood, apparently. :P

I suppose one day I'll get a Tivo. Although, I still don't have an iPod, so who knows; I may remain technologically bereft forevah. Actually, I don't think I'd use a Tivo. That's where stuff is automatically recorded for you so you can watch it later, yes? I used to do that, with video tapes, and I just ended up with a stack of shows I never got around to watching. It just seems like if I don't find the time to watch while it's on then I probably won't feel too motivated to watch it later....

I have lunch plans on Friday, but I can do something early as you please on Saturday—you know I'm always up early. ^_^

I can do dinner Friday, too. :-*

Saturday morning brekkie maybe?

Either, and if dinner Friday is better for you, it's better for me, definitely.

I mostly stuck with last year's shows for this year. There's only so many hours in a week. *g*

I did try both Heroes and Studio 60, and though I *am* a SF person, Heroes is underwhelming anyway. Very sad. I'm still watching because it's on before Studio 60 and Nate Corddry is my TV boyfriend of the season. :-D

CC and I are talking about seeing Marie Antoinette, and she'd love to see you, so would you like to do dinner and a movie on Friday? Let me know!

Hi, Nate Corddry is a doll, so I totally don't blame you!

I'm sad about Heroes for you guys but hey, at least Doctor Who is expanding, right? Or something?
