More whirls of gaiety

I keep saying, I am going to go out less, and then totally failing. Not that there's much wrong with that; enough of it is cheap.

Thursday was games at ali_wildgoose and emsariel's where I got to do the thing I love best: deal cards and not play. I really am the antithesis of competitive but I love to watch people play things. Also I need to pick up Mille Bournes which I played a bit as a teen to contribute to the party.

Friday was a lot of work and errands and then up to bhanesidhe's with good soft foods and movies to cheer up the convalescing Val. Always so much fun to watch a beloved movie with someone who hasn't seen it, and I got to do that with Bridget Jones's Diary and Ocean's 11. Oh that Mark Darcy; he's so geeky and dreamy.

Saturday was work and then out to a club where the band of a classmate of mine was playing. mistful and her current houseguest came along and we had tapas before and all was very well. The band was very good.

Sunday was work with calloocallay (awesome!) and then we ate Thai and saw Thank You for Smoking (funny!) and then I went home and after a long-overdue phone call with D, had a few pints at my local with ali_wildgoose.

Monday was class and then dinner with tromboneborges, mistful and her houseguest. Mmm, leftovers for lunch.

Today? Work for pay, and then AI! Tomorrow? VM at mistful's!

As it is, my face cannot hold enough thanks for you being helpful, gracious and companionable you. I owe you, like funds or if not funds things for the good you've done me. Let me know what... so I can make good karma wise, lest I lose something else for formidable for the slight.

OH! and I also expect a full explanation of Friday Night dramas... cuz, well not only do I care but I have NO LIFE!!

I respect the karma, and when you are on your feet again we'll discuss, but not before. (I would ordinarily say either "pay it forward" or "I'm sure I'll need you someday" but you already are there with both of those.) However, I have much longer stories about a certain crush that will totally bore you and you will feel both sorry for me and sorry you asked!
