Well, we all called the AI, didn't we? No surprise there. I'm also not surprised that Katharine was next to last, though hello, I voted for her. But she did a not-great rendition of a song people know well, and that hurt her—same for Ace. Next week is country. I worry for Ace.

VM is back! What a great episode tonight, full of the old spirit. I'm so sure Veronica herself will be at Hearst next year—so nice that Wallace will be there, too. So glad that Hannah is gone because she was dull as dishwater. Lamb and Madison is a bucket of ew, but the Cliff B-plot ruled me. LOVE the cameos from George-Michael and Maeby as well. Let's go Arrested Development! I also enjoyed having a nice long chat with [livejournal.com profile] weatherby about where the plot is going. Next week: Weevil!

Okay, I'm finally getting into Top Chef. It's no Project Runway but it'll do. Stephen is the biggest ass ever. I'm sad that Harold made a little mean comment to Dave because he should really be above that. However unlike Dave I am not shipping Stephen/Harold. I doubt Stephen will pull Harold to the dark side because Harold pulled it out and flirted with all the ladies so go him. (Also last week he could see that Harold was going too far with Candace.) So pleased, as well, to see that Tiffani ditched her bad attitude.

I don't usually watch AI, but my parents do, so I saw it this week. My dad is a big fan of Katharine, apparently, and he was distressed when he heard she wasa in the bottom two. He's now declaring that he's going to actually, you know, vote next time. *g*

I didn't think that Xtina would go over so that's why I voted for her this week. Her, and then I vote for Elliott every week anyway. ^_^

OMG I cannot believe that Hannah forgave him! Insipid as all fuck and I can't even feel bad for Logan that she's gone because dude, she's 12. Also, yeah, of course VM is going to Hearst. Which is weird because Hearst Castle itself is like, way Norther than Neptune is supposed to be. I hope the show can live with itself as a dorm show, because it's really a different genre. When Buffy went to UC Sunnydale it started being played out very soon.

And: My love of Cliff remains unencumbered. How great was Keith's note by the phone for V? AND what a great episode for combining a Mystery of the Week with actual longterm plot development stuff.

a small anecdote:

Logan was only dating her so her dad would drop his testimony.

haha Chris. Hannah is a drip; of course she'd forgive him. Besides, he was right about her dad and she wouldn't have known. I think it would have been different if that had been a lie.

Yeah, I don't get why Hearst would be near SD. It may be a joke or an homage that I haven't tracked down quite yet.

Cliff rules me. I need an icon about that. Everyone is all rejuvenated with their VM love. I think it was just bad luck for them that they came back from such a long hiatus with a relatively weak episode. But the scheduling wasn't their fault—that wasn't where the hiatus was supposed to go.
