Grammys tomorrow; Veronica tonight!
Feb. 9th, 2006 12:13 amThat is to say, rather than bastardized Sondheim, that I put the Grammys on the TIVO and will watch them tomorrow.
Now that the initial none-of-these-people-can-sing auditions are over and everyone has decamped to Hollywood, I've climbed aboard the American Idol train. However, there isn't much to say about it now, so I won't.
Okay, the whole bitch teacher thing was so overplayed that I couldn't even stand it. But Weevil OWNED ME from the word go. I love that he got the senior trip he wanted PLUS a new boss car PLUS a little revenge on Thumper. You just can't beat him—even Veronica can't. And that moment at the end? As many of you know, I want the series to end with Weevil pulling up with his bike, Veronica giving Keith a hug before getting on the back, Keith just smiling and nodding, and Weevil and Veronica riding off into the sunset. yes, yes.
If that hadn't happened I would totally have used my Keith icon. Oh Keith my Keith, you poor man. Hero knocked down several pegs and everything, but you'll work hard for him. I really love that we are getting so much of Keith sleuthing this year which really highlights how much of an anomaly last year was, and how depressed Keith was. And now he's stepped it up and it's so fun to see. Meanwhile it felt like Veronica was chasing down easy leads and jumping to a lot of lameass conclusions.
I loved Wallace not dunking Jackie. I feel that Wallace came back from Chicago feeling that he didn't need all of Jackie's drama in a gf, and he's right.
Also, OMG the macassidy love. Need icon. Their get-back on Dick Jr really should be a warning unto all people picking on geeks.
I really don't have anything to say about the whole Logan picks up a girl at the carnival. It was so, some other television show. Well, until the end. Then it was !!!!
I really can't speak about PR, so I'll just direct you to Carrie's post of our conversation.
