I have stayed up until 3am the last three Thursday nights. As I am on holiday next week, I may well make it four. Rage, rage against the dying of the light!

Last night, I ate wild berry skittles off [livejournal.com profile] alexmalfoy's rock-hard abs.

I found some John/Paul slash via [livejournal.com profile] vanityfair. Aja, I don't know what you thought, but I was sort of let down. I wanted when-they-were-invincible-Beatles slash, not mid-70s what-about-Linda-and-Yoko slash. It just reminded me of bad James/Sirius slash.

Also, I hate beards; they piss me off. Seriously, I get really angry when James slashers make Lily into some sort of Handmaid's Tale type breeder who just showed up, got impregnated to fulfill Jamie's family obligations, popped out Harry and then died. To say this irritates me is an understatement. (Note: I don't feel quite the same about Lucius as I would believe there is a lot of weird shit going on with him.)

And now, I am going to the park as it is a beautiful day, specially made for Alex's last day in New York because he has been a very good boy.

EXACTLY. That's what I thought in a nutshell. And I'm sorry, but the whole angsty-buildup/conflict-tension just doesn't work with John and Paul. I mean, in the "invincible" period (i like that term), they hung all over each other as straight men, it seems like slash between them would just be a natural course, not a dramatic source of tension. Like, I dunno, "Hey, Paulie, ever kissed a guy?" "Dunno, wanna try it out?" "Sure, why not?" "Mmmm. S'not too bad, is it." "You're not a bad kisser, mate. Wanna do that again?" "Don't see why not." "Hmmmm..." "Mmmm."

You know?

I completely agree. ::sigh::

Well, have you seen The Hours and Times (http://us.imdb.com/Title?0104448)? It's a fictionalized account of John's holiday in Spain with Brian Epstein (the Beatles' manager). Brian was as out as you could be in the early sixties, which is to say his homosexuality was a sort of open secret. I have seen several different Beatles bios and biopics that make reference to John's not-so-subtle flirting with a somewhat smitten Brian--though, John could definitely be sort of an arse so he may have been just being obnoxious. Anyway, this movie pushes the point. I'd recommend it.

Agreed, it's a lovely day for the woobie Alex. *refrains from asking any sort of fangirlish question about skitles 'cause I *honestly* don't want to know.*

I have seen good John/Paul slash, once, but it was on ff.net and I've no idea who it was by or where it'll have gone. And subsequently I can no longer listen to "I'd love to turn you on" without breaking just a little.

*frown* Vacations and breaks are for the weak, as is sleep.

Just thought I'd warn ya.

*tickles Syddle*

They are not. Besides, after giving the fandom EWFS, and other such things, our girl deserves a break.

*hugs Grannie Jen* You've got a point. I suppose her vacation can be the exception. :-)
